As a Principal SDET - Performance Test Engineer, your responsibilities will involve defining performance testing strategy, designing automated scripts, executing tests, analyzing results, and ensuring our software systems exceed performance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive performance testing across our software product portfolio, including medical devices with embedded software and associated web applications.
- Design, develop, and execute automated non-functional test scenarios for performance, load, scalability, reliability, and endurance testing.
- Analyze test results and report on key performance metrics such as response times, error rates, throughput, and CPU / memory utilization to diagnose system issues.
- Collaborate with architects to drive performance testing standards and optimize the performance, scalability, and reliability of our systems.
- Remain hands-on, contributing to multiple codebases while providing technical leadership within Agile teams.
- Design and implement testing frameworks and design patterns to support performance testing at all levels of the test pyramid.
- Collaborate across teams to enhance Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI / CD) techniques.
- Train, coach, and provide leadership for the functional group's development, direction, and effectiveness.
- Review and approve code and test pull requests to ensure high-quality software delivery.
