Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Management : Administer and maintain physical and virtual serversStorage and Backup : Manage SAN storage systems and enterprise backup solutionsSQL Server and Systems : Oversee patching and updates for SQL Server and other critical systems; Manage SQL clusters and databasesBusiness Continuity & Disaster Recovery : Design and maintain DR and BCP strategies; Conduct regular testing and validation of recovery proceduresSecurity & Compliance : Perform system hardening and vulnerability remediation; Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with industry standardsMonitoring & Support : Provide Level 2 & 3 support for infrastructure and business applications; Participate in on-call rotation for 24x7 production environmentMicrosoft Ecosystem : Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint; Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity / access controlsNetwork & Capacity Planning : Assist in network design and performance optimization; Conduct capacity planning and resource forecastingCloud Infrastructure : Design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions; Support hybrid cloud environments and cloud migration initiatives; Optimize cloud resource usage and cost managementEducation and / or Experience
This role requires subject matter expertise and the ability to mentor, guide and train other team members. Typically a minimum of 7–10 years in previous systems engineering or infrastructure roles and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; priority given to demonstrated qualifications even if experience duration varies.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
ITIL fundamentals, Microsoft 365 / Azure, and VMware Certifications are preferred but not required.
