Job Description
A First-Class Shipfitter , also referred to as a Journeyman Shipfitter (Boilermaker), is responsible for various tools and equipment used in the fabrication, assembling and erection of metal components at the various stages in constructing a marine vessel.
Shipfitters will be required to work various shifts depending upon the number of ships under construction at any one point in time. Shipyard production areas involve working at different heights, confined spaces, all weather conditions.
Pay : $26.00
Per-Diem : $150.00
Lodging : Up to 2 weeks ((covered))
Bonus : $300
The test consists of the following
Single pass fillet, Shipfitters must be able to pass all three tests but may not be required to test on all three.

Safety & Environmental Factors :
All employees are expected to adhere to the company’s safety policies to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. This role involves working under extreme hot or cold conditions and requires the physical ability to stand for the entire shift, use hands for various tasks, ascend stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. Team members must occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close, distant, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
