• REGISTERED NURSE – MED-SURG (WEEKEND PACKAGE NIGHTS)- Three 12 hour shifts per week\n
• REGISTERED NURSE – MED-SURG AND ER – ROTATING SHIFT- Three 12 hour shifts per week\n
• REGISTERED NURSE – MED-SURG (WEEKDAY NIGHTS)- Three 12 hour shifts per week\n\nSummary\n\nAs a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room or Med-Surg department at Decatur County Hospital, you will be an integral part of our healthcare team, delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role is vital in ensuring that patients receive timely and effective treatment during emergencies.\n\nResponsibilities\n
• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the emergency room or med-surg setting.\n
• Conduct thorough physical examinations and assess vital signs for all patients.\n
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.\n
• Collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement patient care plans.\n
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patient interactions.\n
• Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care.\n
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance nursing skills.\n\nQualifications\n
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa.\n
• Proven experience in hospital medicine or emergency nursing preferred.\n
• Strong assessment skills with the ability to perform physical examinations effectively.\n
• Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and emergency protocols.\n
• Basic knowledge of DME and its applications is a plus.\n
• Ability to maintain accurate medical records and documentation standards.\n
