The University Career Center has as its mission the career development of the students and alumni of The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP); to assist in relating their knowledge, interests, and skills to meaningful career options; to inculcate the sense of professionalism required for success; to aid in their search for pre-professional and professional employment; to ease their transition from the University to a productive career; and to assist them as they navigate the world of work.

Our Purpose
Our purpose is to expose UTEP students to options that best fit their individual career needs and aspirations. To that end, the Career Center provides part-time and full-time job listings, internship, and experiential learning opportunities, career / job fairs, career development workshops and presentations (e.g., résumé writing, job search correspondence, interview preparation, negotiating a job offer, navigating a career fair, etc.), résumé reviews, job search assistance, interview coaching, on-campus and virtual interviews, and employer contacts.

Hours : up to 40 hours per week, standard Monday- Friday 8 : 00am- 5 : 00pm, flexibility is required on evenings and weekends
FLSA status : Exempt
Earliest Start Date : As soon as possible.
Salary : $40,008 annually

This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information. A valid driver's license issued by the State where the applicant resides and insurability as defined in UTS 157 may be required to perform the position's essential functions.
Purpose of Position
The Employer Relations Manager is part of the Career Center's employer relations team and reports to the Associate Director for Employer Relations. The employer relations (ER) team is responsible for ensuring employer recruitment needs are coordinated and met so that employers can recruit and identifying talent from UTEP. The University Career Center serves as the official and centralized office, employers for all their recruiting needs : information sessions, information tables, on campus interviews, job postings, faculty meetings, presentations, workshops, or other student / faculty engagements.

Required Qualifications
Education : Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university within area of assigned responsibility.
Experience : Five years of related experience to the statement of duties and responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
