Accounting Clerk

Our Finance Department currently has a full time 40 hours accounting clerk position available. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday during business hours. This is an hourly non-exempt position with a pay rate of $24.04 per hour. The accounting clerk will provide administrative and clerical support to the finance department, with a focus on billing, accounts payable and receivable, and general accounting tasks. They will serve as back-up to the billing manager and assist with all aspects of billing practices (including but not limited to Medicaid, CACFP, self-direction, and janitorial). They will also ensure that all billing is filled out properly and entered into the system accurately.

Qualifications : At least 18 years of age. A valid driver's license that meets WWAARC insurability standards. To secure and maintain all certifications and training required by WWAARC. High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in accounting or closely related field preferred. Basic understanding of generally accepted accounting practices and principles. Knowledge of Medicaid billing procedures is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to meet deadlines, to multi-task, and be flexible with day-to-day priorities. Able to work both independently and as member of a team. Must be able to maintain appropriate degree of confidentiality.
