Position Summary
The Residential Fireplace Installer is responsible for the safe and professional installation, troubleshooting, and servicing of hearth products for Williams dealers and residential customers. This role requires mechanical aptitude, physical agility, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Installers work closely with internal staff and external clients to ensure timely and accurate completion of installations in accordance with company standards and safety regulations.
Position Responsibilities
May include;
- Install and troubleshoot fireplaces and related hearth products at residential sites
- Communicate professionally with customers and internal staff via phone, text, and email
- Follow installation procedures and complete tasks as directed by manager or trainer
- Review manuals, building codes, and technical documents to confirm installation requirements
- Use electronic scheduling systems via smartphone or tablet to manage daily tasks
- Operate hand tools, battery-powered tools, and AC-powered tools safely and effectively
- Utilize ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and harnesses to access elevated areas such as roofs, attic spaces, and chases
- Work in confined or elevated spaces including crawl spaces, ducts, and above ceilings
- Handle and install materials such as manufactured fireplaces, mantels (wood and cast), stone surrounds, metal venting, sheet metal, and gas lines
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Phone Program / Business use : Company Provided Device or Personal Device Reimbursement
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Installation Services Manager, GM of Hearth Products, or other senior leadership

Education / Certification
