We're actively seeking a talented Technical Lead to join our Workforce Benefits Division in Newport Beach, CA.

As a Technical Lead in the Workforce Benefits Division, you will be instrumental in building and optimizing the back-end of our administration system, a core insurance platform. Leveraging over six years of experience in Java development, you will ensure smooth performance, high security, and effective integration of back-end systems to meet the needs of internal teams and external users. Collaborating with front-end developers, UX / UI designers, and business stakeholders, you'll play a critical role in creating a high-quality, scalable, and secure environment. This person will lead a team of 12 internal and external developers, and a scrum master.

How you'll help move us forward :

• Back-End Development : Lead the design, development, and optimization of Java-based back-end services within the insurance platform, supporting our configuration-focused environment.
• System Integration : Collaborate with front-end developers, UX / UI designers, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless integration across all systems.
• Technical Leadership : Provide mentorship to developers, instilling best practices for secure, scalable applications. Set goals for internal employees and perform reviews.
• Microservices & API Development : Design and implement microservices and RESTful APIs to support secure, efficient integrations.
• Performance Optimization : Monitor and address performance bottlenecks, ensuring optimal system response times and scalability.
• Problem Solving : Lead troubleshooting efforts and drive continuous improvements in back-end development processes.

Base Pay Range : The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$148,230.00 - $181,170.00
