Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly motivated Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our rural hospital district in Canadian, Texas, for a night shift position. This dual role involves providing comprehensive care to patients in both the Emergency Room and Acute Care settings. You will have the opportunity to use your nursing skills to deliver exceptional care to patients of all ages. From triaging and administering medications to wound care and patient education, youll be at the forefront of providing excellent care in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Room (RN) and Acute Care units.
Triage, assess, and manage patients with varying acuity levels.
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as needed.
Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications :
Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing program (Bachelor's degree preferred but not required).
Active Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse licensure in the state of Texas.
Minimum of one year of experience in direct patient care within a hospital setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications through American Heart Association required or ability to obtain upon hire.
Physical Demands :
Extended periods of standing and walking throughout a 12 hour shift.
