Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for a diverse acute care role with coverage in inpatient, outpatient, and home care settings; active state license required if applicable.
Responsibilities
Work in acute care settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and home careTreat a patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics with diagnoses including ortho, neuro, fall risk, and general weaknessTypical caseload varies between 6-10 patients per day depending on areaDay shift position, Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m.No weekends or holiday shifts requiredUse Cerner Community Works for inpatient and outpatient documentation and Kinnser for home health chartingRole involves coverage in multiple areas; candidates with specialty in upper extremity OT may be considered without experience in other areasIf certified in lymphedema, will still be required to provide general OT treatmentsSupport team includes COTAs who assist with treatments when availableStructured orientation provided during the first week followed by a full schedule in the second weekWork attire includes black, navy, or royal blue scrubs, or business casualNegative drug screen covering all required panels is mandatoryLocal rate applies to clinicians residing within 50 milesRequirements
Active IL Occupational Therapist license or evidence that licensure application has been initiated (license required if applicable)Minimum of 1 year OT experience requiredCurrent BLS certification requiredDiverse clinical background with ability to work in at least two areas (such as inpatient / home care, inpatient / outpatient ortho, lymphedema, or home care / outpatient ortho)EMR documentation experience preferred, especially with Cerner and KinnserBenefits
