Position Summary

Florida Orthopaedic Institute’s Lakeland Office is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our high-performing team and provide support to Dr. Alex Mierke . Once fully trained, the APP will transition into running their own independent clinic sessions.

We are looking for a motivated, team-oriented provider who takes initiative, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and steps in to fill gaps when needed. A positive, collaborative attitude and “yes-first” approach are essential.

This is a full-time position based in Lakeland with occasional clinic responsibilities with Dr. Mierke in North Tampa.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA or APRN program
• Current Florida state license as a PA or APRN
• NCCPA certification (for PA) or national certification as an APRN
• Orthopaedic, spine, or surgical experience strongly preferred (2+ years), new graduates may apply
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Ability to adapt to multiple physician practice styles and environments
• Self-starter with excellent organizational and communication skills
