CNC Operator

Primus Aerospace is a leading manufacturing partner to aerospace, defense, and space OEMs, Primes, and Tier I suppliers. The company specializes in producing high-tolerance, complex geometry parts machined using standard and exotic metals. Primus works directly with all major aerospace manufacturers (e.g., Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman) to provide components for mission-critical civilian and defense programs. 3rd shift (F,S,S 6am - 6 : 30pm), paid full 40hrs for 36hrs worked

Key Responsibilities

  • Previous CNC Operator experience : mill turn and lathe
  • GD&T print reading
  • Knowledge of calipers, micrometers, metrology.
  • Experience with machine set-ups.
  • Ability to indicate vices.
  • Coordinate x, y, z
  • Knowledge of machining principles.
  • Operate CNC machines from provided work instructions from work order or set up personnel
  • Verifying dimensional characteristics of parts
  • Meet expected cycle times and production schedule
  • Completion of all required paperwork in a timely manner

Requirements

  • Previous CNC Operator experience or technical school course work completed
  • Reading blueprints and using hand tools
  • Prioritizing tasks and maintaining production goals
  • Self-starter with a good attitude
  • Attention to detail and a strong desire to produce quality products
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment utilizing lean manufacturing techniques is preferred
  • Previous experience in Aerospace or defense machining environment preferred.
  • Ability to obtain secret security clearance highly desirable
