ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Salem, Virginia.

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - ED ER

Job Details : \n

  • Work in a 27-bed emergency department with 50 RN staff and 25 medics

    • \n

  • Handle patient ratios of 4-6 : 1 throughout shifts

    • \n

  • Day shift : 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, 2-3 medics with additional staffing increases at 11am (4-5 RNs) and 3pm (1-2 RNs)

    • \n

  • Night shift : 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, 2-3 medics

    • \n

  • Weekend requirement : four weekend shifts (Friday or Saturday for nights; Saturday or Sunday for days) in a four-week scheduling period

    • \n

  • No on-call responsibilities or floating to other units

    • \n

  • Must have completed 2-3 travel assignments and possess 2-3 years of ER experience

    • \n

  • Experience with high acuity, fast-paced ERs with high volume preferred

    • \n

  • Experience with patient ratios of 5 : 1 preferred

    • \n

  • Perform typical ER procedures including RSI, sepsis interventions, stroke protocol with tPA administration, central line placement, psych patient care, and transfers to other facilities (EMTALA)

    • \n

  • Use Meditech EMR system

    • \n

  • Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC

    • \n

  • Preferred certifications : ENPC, NRP, NIH

    • \n

  • Dress code : navy blue or white scrubs required

    • \n

  • Must demonstrate relaxed, easy-going, friendly, team-oriented, and respectful personality traits
