We are seeking a candidate to join our R&D (Research and Development) group, focusing on the development and creation of mapping solutions for risk assessment related to natural catastrophes and climate change impacts.

Key Responsibilities

• As a Co-op within our Catastrophe R&D group, you’ll work closely with senior scientists and engineers on various projects and assist with tasks including data mining and literature reviews, data collection and analysis, and visualization.
• Develop and maintain interactive maps and spatial databases for natural disaster risk assessment (floods, hurricanes, wildfires, earthquakes, etc.).

This six-month co-op provides real-world projects and hands-on training, with mentorship from leaders and experts in risk management R&D. At the end of the program, there may be opportunities to explore a future career with Liberty Mutual, a leading property and casualty insurer.
