Responsibilities Work in a Level III NICU with a patient ratio of 1 : 2-3 Required to attend neonatal deliveries (vaginal and C-section) and assist with newborn transition Expected to float to Normal Newborn Nursery (NOU) with ratios of 1 : 4-6 and perform admissions and discharges Self-scheduling on day shift (3x12s, 6 : 45–19 : 15), including every other weekend Must work at least 1 major and 1 minor holiday Uses Epic for electronic medical records Responsibilities include IV placement, lab draws, care coordination, and extensive neonatal procedures such as management of ventilators, central lines, chest tubes, and administration of medications and blood products May assist with specialized procedures including PICC, UAC / UVC placement, intubation, and exchange transfusions Expected to collaborate closely with NNPs, MDs, RNs, social services, RT, radiology, and other interdisciplinary team members Must possess strong communication skills and compassion for educating and supporting families Scrub color requirement is grape / purple Pre-start education modules required and completed through the facility’s education department Strict policy on excessive requested time off Requirements Active LA or compact RN license required Current BLS and NRP certifications required Minimum three years of Level III NICU experience required Epic EMR experience required Must have experience attending deliveries Previous permanent employees must have been separated for at least one year from any LCMC facility Not open to first-time travelers Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-619962.
