A company is looking for a Patient Access & Support Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
Front patient calls for nurse triage and identify conditions needing urgent intervention
Register new patients and manage appointment scheduling for primary and specialty care
Provide administrative support for the UNC Virtual Practice and coordinate communications for patient care follow-up
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
High School degree or GED required
One year of customer service experience with a bachelor's degree, three years with an associate's degree, or five years with a high school degree, preferably in a healthcare setting
Must gain knowledge of the UNC Health Care System and some medical terminology during training
Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs and strong personal computer skills required
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong organizational skills
