Quality Control Technician

JOB SUMMARY

The Quality Control Inspector / Technician is responsible for monitoring our product quality according to our tolerances, specifications, and requirements. The position responsibilities consist of using inspections tools and equipment to audit the products being produced or assembled. Inspection data is recorded using our Statistical Process Control system.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must be able to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must have good verbal and written skills
• Will be expected to audit and monitor product quality for multiply machines.
• Maintain daily written and SPC digital logs.
• Accurately identify material and / or product.
• Use inspection tools to perform product and tooling measurements.
• Communicate with shift supervisor on nonconformance issues and general discussion.
• Actively participate in Daily Visual Management activities and communicate with the Quality Engineering team to solve problems.
• Be dedicated to the integrity of the quality function and possess a drive to enhance the quality of both the product and processes.
• Be able to adapt to the use of new equipment and learn new products and materials
• Must be able to make accurate measurements.

The work is primarily performed in a typical production environment. Wear safety attire or protective gear, may be exposed to distracting noise levels, may work within a few feet of other workers. For the most part ambient room temperatures and lighting as found in a typical office environment.
