GA Family Services - Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC) Case Worker Reports To : Foster Care Supervisor

Position Status : Full-Time (40-hours per week), Non-exempt

Position Schedule : The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, hours will vary based upon case needs.

Salary Range : $22 to $27 per hour, commensurate with degree obtained and experience

Position Summary :

GA Family Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapeutic Foster Care Case Worker to support youth placed in foster care and their treatment families. This role involves coordinating placements, developing treatment plans, providing ongoing support to clients and foster families, and ensuring compliance with agency and state requirements.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's Degree required
• Master's Degree preferred
• Any deviations from these requirements must have a waiver approved by OCFS.
• Must have own transportation, a valid driver’s license, and vehicle insurance as required by NYS law.

Job Duties :

Coordinate intake, screening, and placement of clients

Develop and maintain case records and documentation (FASP, court reports, progress notes, etc.)

Provide regular support to youth and foster families through scheduled visits and crisis intervention

Act as liaison and advocate for clients with community services

Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and treatment planning

Conduct foster parent training, support, and supervision

Assist in marketing and outreach to referral sources

Maintain compliance with safety protocols and in-service training

Participate in 24 / 7 on-call rotation for crisis response

Willingness to adapt to evolving program needs and responsibilities

Safety – Follows required safety procedures.

In-services – Attends all required in-service training.
