We serve thousands of municipalities (under 50,000 residents) across the US with integrated solutions for fund accounting, utility billing, work orders, citizen requests, permits, asset management, and code enforcement. Our clients are public servants, city clerks, utility billing staff, and public works teamsthe folks who keep their communities running smoothly. We're replacing their outdated tools with simple, cloud-based software built specifically for small governments.
The Role :
As the Manager of Sales at gWorks, you will play a pivotal leadership role, not only driving strategic cross-selling initiatives, new business growth, and customer relationships, but also guiding and developing a high-performing sales team. Youll set clear expectations, coach Account Executives to achieve their full potential, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and success. This role requires more than sales expertiseit demands an unwavering commitment to our mission, the resilience to overcome challenges with calm determination, and the ability to lead from the front. Key Responsibilities :
- Lead by Example as a Quota-Carrying Manager : Personally own a sales quota while leading the team, balancing individual contribution with team leadership to drive performance, model accountability, and reinforce a results-oriented culture.
- Leadership Excellence : Guide and inspire a dedicated team of Account Executives, setting high standards for sales performance and customer engagement excellence.
- Strategic Sales Initiatives : Leverage data-driven insights to formulate and implement strategic sales plans targeting both new and existing customers. Identify and pursue growth opportunities, including those arising from mergers and acquisitions.
- Extreme Ownership : Embrace and exemplify the principle of extreme ownership, assuming full accountability for your teams results, including achieving and surpassing set objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs), while adeptly navigating any challenges encountered.
- Industry Expertise : Commit to ongoing learning and development within the GovTech and technology sectors, using this expertise to enhance gWorks' competitive edge and market positioning.

What You'll Bring :
Proven track record in sales management, particularly in the GovTech or technology sectors.Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team towards achieving sales excellence.Strong analytical skills, with a capacity to use data in formulating and executing sales strategies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering strong customer relationships and promoting a positive team environment.Resilient and adaptable, able to face challenges with a positive and determined outlook.Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of industry trends and innovations.Where You'll Work :
Omaha-based? You'll follow our hybrid model : work remotely with in-office collaboration on Tuesdays and Thursdays.Remote?
