Location :

We are searching for a candidate in the Hartford or New Haven CT area.

This is a remote position but there will be in-office meetings from time to time.

Compensation : Base Salary + Commission

First, this is a hunter sales position. We are not seeking a sales manager candidate. You will be cold-calling, developing and working lead lists to develop new relationships within your territory. This is not an inside sales position simply taking orders. You must know how to prospect and close deals.

We're looking for a proven sales representative with a proven track record of success developing a new territory. You love a challenge and you want to represent a great company with a great product. Working independently, remotely building strong relationships with contractors, builders, architects, distributors — and the occasional homeowner, you will develop a new territory for our company staging growth to be duplicated in new territories.

Developing long-term, trusted relationships with partners in the territory is critical for success in this role. You will be creating our new presence for our company in the territory.

What You'll Do

  • Work directly with our CEO to build and follow a sales plan.
  • CRM. Keep organized in Salesforce so nothing slips through the cracks.
  • Prospect, qualify, and close new business (both B2B and DTC).
  • Forge genuine connections with contractors, builders, architects, and distributors.
  • Share product knowledge and solutions that make our customers' jobs easier.
  • Show up at trade shows, events, or job sites to represent the brand (when needed).

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of sales experience (bonus points if it's in building / construction / architectural products).
  • A proven record of meeting — or smashing — sales targets.
  • The ability to develop and run a territory like a pro.
  • Top-notch communication and relationship-building skills. Higher level of understanding of personality types and how to communicate with all.
  • Self-motivation, grit, and plenty of initiative.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce and standard digital tools / platforms.
