Overview

The position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment during production and perform repairs or adjustments as needed.
• Document corrections required.
• Perform preventive maintenance on weekends.
• Rebuild equipment as required.
• Assist with installation of new equipment and maintenance throughout the facility.
• Grease, change oil, and clean various plant equipment manually.
• Monitor equipment and computer boards.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems using detailed schematics and blueprints.
• Work other shifts when necessary.
• Understand and follow Safety Rules (e.g., Lockout / Tagout) and comply with OSHA standards.
• Work on Saturdays and Sundays as required.
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to share information about the job.
• Operate and inspect equipment, which may involve bending, turning, stooping, twisting, and climbing; move equipment and machinery weighing up to 40 pounds as needed.
• Move freely through the plant around equipment, people, and obstacles; tolerate climates ranging from very cold to very hot and very wet to very dry.
• Climb ladders; reach, lift, and work overhead; stand, walk, or sit for the duration of the shift.
• Complete mandatory online training.
