Overview
The position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Monitor equipment during production and perform repairs or adjustments as needed.
- Document corrections required.
- Perform preventive maintenance on weekends.
- Rebuild equipment as required.
- Assist with installation of new equipment and maintenance throughout the facility.
- Grease, change oil, and clean various plant equipment manually.
- Monitor equipment and computer boards.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems using detailed schematics and blueprints.
- Work other shifts when necessary.
- Understand and follow Safety Rules (e.g., Lockout / Tagout) and comply with OSHA standards.
- Work on Saturdays and Sundays as required.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to share information about the job.
- Operate and inspect equipment, which may involve bending, turning, stooping, twisting, and climbing; move equipment and machinery weighing up to 40 pounds as needed.
- Move freely through the plant around equipment, people, and obstacles; tolerate climates ranging from very cold to very hot and very wet to very dry.
- Climb ladders; reach, lift, and work overhead; stand, walk, or sit for the duration of the shift.
- Complete mandatory online training.
Qualifications
Must have at least 6 months of industrial maintenance experience.Good hand-eye coordination.Must be able to communicate and get along well with others.Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.Benefits
