SENIOR ESTIMATOR (Substations & Transmission)

POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Estimator position will be based out of our office in Eustis, Florida. We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated, highly organized individual to join the Estimating team to provide all facets of construction project support, including submittal processing, material management, and budget analysis. The ideal candidate will have estimating experience with transmission and substation projects.
KEY FUNCTIONS
Prepare cost estimates for projects as per company business model and industry standardsCollaborate with project management staff and external design firms on design-build proposalsAttend pre-qualification events and site visits as requiredManage, oversee, or perform take-offs, evaluations, and quantity surveysParticipate and contribute to meetings with estimating staff and operations teamsAnalyze bid documents to determine the scope of work and prepare the bid in compliance with Owners' requirementsCommunicate and maintain relationships with subcontractorsSolicit and analyze subcontractor and vendor proposalsPrepare all Requests for Information (RFIs)Suggest value engineering options and costsWork with project management teams throughout the project lifecycle, including pre-construction functions and change ordersMentor junior members of the estimating departmentDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 5+ years of estimating experience in transmission, distribution, and substations With a Heavy Focus on TransmissionBachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or related field is a plusComputer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and estimating / PM software systems (HCSS Heavy Bid, B2W, Accubid, Quickpen, ProCore, P6, etc.)Able to work independently or with a team to complete estimates or proposals efficiently while meeting deadlinesEffective communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills, and a strong work ethicBENEFITS
