SUMMARY OF POSITION FUNCTION :
Plans, directs and administers the Career Services Program which includes : Academic and Career Technical Training, Advanced Career Training, and Career Preparation Period.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Plans, organizes, directs and administers the Career Services Program.
- Provides supervision, training, assessment, and leadership for assigned staff.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Establishes the Career Services Program’s mission and strategic plan, objectives, goals; evaluates program effectiveness.
- Oversees the introductory phase in the program for new arrivals.
- Acts as Center Director in the absence of the same.
- Acts as trusted advisor to the Center Director and is a member of the senior leadership team.
- Plans, organizes and controls the use of overtime and on-call staff to insure compliance with Center and ETR policy and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze problems identifies alternative solutions, assign accountability and implement recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to apply principles of conflict resolution to resolve interpersonal problems that arise.
- Strong analytical skills in evaluation of academic and vocational programs, policies, operations and systems.
- Working knowledge of academic and vocational education programs, policies and practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge of principles and practices of budget preparation and administration.
- Working knowledge of principles and practices of organization administration and personnel management.
- Oversees the Outreach and Admissions department

Bachelor’s degree in education, social services or related field.EXPERIENCE :
Three years related experience; one of which was in a management capacity..OTHER :
