About The Position

Certifications : ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS

Must-Have :

Proficiency in telemetry and cardiac / stroke experience

Experience with cardiac drips (Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lasix)

Description :

This position requires passing a telemetry rhythm identification quiz.

All nurses must be proficient in reading, identifying, and reacting to cardiac rhythms.

This is a true cardiac unit where understanding rhythms is critical for patient safety.

The shift is three nights a week from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30.

No call requirements exist for this position.

Nurses will work every other weekend.

Floating to similar or lesser units may be required.

The ratio of nurses to patients is 1 : 5.

This unit sees a variety of diagnoses requiring monitoring, including telemetry, stroke, and congestive heart failure (CHF).

Special procedures may involve several types of drips.

All modes of oxygenation are available except for ventilators.

The facility operates with high acuity and is very busy, primarily serving adult and geriatric populations.

Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and more.

A rescue nurse is available to assist with bedside procedures.

Candidates must adhere to all required certifications prior to starting.

Any unprofessional behavior or shift call-offs may result in immediate contract termination.
