Estimated Weekly Salary Weekly Salary Range : $2100 - $2250 (estimated) ICU RN Job Details - Kearney, NE Location : Kearney, Nebraska 68845 Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract (extension possible) Healthcare Setting : 10-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU); average daily census 5 Shift : 12-hour nights (6 : 00 PM - 6 : 30 AM) Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Weekend Requirement : 2 weekends per month (flexible based on unit needs) Holiday Requirement : 1 major & 1 minor holiday Charting System : EPIC EMR Scrub Colors : Navy Blue, Black, or Charcoal Grey ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Nebraska or compact state) Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience required Strong clinical background in cardiac care; experience with Balloon Pump and Impella Pump highly preferred Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications Pediatric experience preferred (PALS required) Ability to float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Medical Surgical (Med Surg) units as needed Flexible scheduling; block scheduling not available ICU RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill adult and pediatric patients in the ICU Manage patients with complex diagnoses, including open heart surgery, CHF, COPD, overdose, sepsis, CVA with TPA, DKA, and neuro cases Operate advanced cardiac devices such as Balloon Pump and Impella Pump Float to PCU and Med Surg units as required to support hospital staffing needs Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes Accurately document patient care and interventions using EPIC electronic medical records Maintain flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays, to meet unit requirements Why Choose Kearney, Nebraska?
