Job Summary :

• The Maintenance Mechanic performs a variety of repair and maintenance tasks to ensure machinery, equipment, buildings, and facilities operate safely and efficiently. This role involves a broad set of skills including mechanical repair, plumbing, welding, carpentry, fabrication, and basic electrical maintenance.

Job Duties :

Install, repair, rebuild, and maintain production machinery and related equipment.

Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machinery and equipment.

Make necessary repairs and adjustments to ensure machinery and equipment remain operational.

Overhaul and rebuild machinery components by dismantling, inspecting, machining, and replacing parts as needed.

Align bearings and shafts, and adjust feed and limit mechanisms to ensure proper machine operation.

Assist in the installation, relocation, and setup of machinery and equipment, including leveling and alignment.

Conduct general maintenance on buildings, grounds, and facilities.

Assist with project planning and determining materials and requirements for upcoming maintenance or installation projects.

Perform routine preventive maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Maintain detailed maintenance logs and records.

Keep the maintenance work area clean and organized and follow established safety procedures.

Qualifications :

Strong knowledge of mechanical repair and general maintenance practices.

Either a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least three (3) years of related experience,

Or a high school diploma with five (5) to seven (7) years of progressively responsible maintenance experience,

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience that meets or exceeds these standards.
