As a Security Professional - Academic Entry Desk in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at a prominent educational location, you will play a vital role in welcoming visitors, managing access control, and supporting security-related operations. Your presence at the front desk helps to deter unwanted incidents while offering a high level of customer service and communication. Pay Rate : $16.25 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Mon 10 : 15 PM - 06 : 45 AM

Tue 10 : 15 PM - 06 : 45 AM

Wed 10 : 15 PM - 06 : 45 AM

Thur 10 : 15 PM - 06 : 45 AM

Sun 10 : 15 PM - 06 : 45 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying identification and / or credentials of students, staff, and visitors.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized activity and provide assistance as needed.
  • Document and report security-related incidents and / or unusual activities to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and / or client leadership.
  • Communicate professionally with all individuals entering or exiting the location, offering guidance and assistance when appropriate.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
