Overview

High School Level American Literature Tutor is a remote tutoring role on the Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform. You’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and impact students’ learning—all from home.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one online tutoring in High School Level American Literature.
  • Explain concepts clearly and adapt lessons to individual learning styles.
  • Personalize lessons and adjust pacing based on student needs.
  • Leverage the Live Learning Platform to conduct sessions and track student progress.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills and an engaging teaching style.
  • Expertise in High School Level American Literature and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
  • Ability to tailor lessons to different learning styles.
  • Prior tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education preferred.

  • Base contract rates start at $18 / hour and can increase for specialized subjects, with potential to reach up to $40 / hour.
