Physician Hospitalist - Competitive Salary

Position Overview : Hospitalist (Internal Medicine) Employment Type : Full-time (Minimum 40 hours / week) Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine Schedule : 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and holidaysKey Responsibilities :

• Provide general medical care and management for hospitalized patients
• Admit, manage, and discharge patients referred by primary care / specialty physicians and from the ER or skilled nursing facilities
• Lead care teams and evaluate each inpatient daily
• Coordinate specialist consults and expedite patient transfers as needed
• Identify discharge needs and ensure timely communication with primary physicians
• Facilitate access to non-hospital resources and services post-discharge
• Complete all required documentation : daily notes, admission / discharge summaries, coding, billing, and evaluations
• Participate in medical staff committees, quality assurance, audits, peer reviews, credentialing, and educational programs
• Contribute to the development and implementation of programs expanding medical servicesMinimum Requirements :
• MD or equivalent (ECFMG certified if international graduate)
• Completion of Internal Medicine residency (may include 1 year of internship or transitional training)
• Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine
• Valid Nebraska medical license
