CNC ID / OD Grind Machinist – 1st Shift – Livonia, MI

Pay : $23–$35 / hr Shift : 1st shift 6am-4 : 30pm

Sign-On Bonus : $1500 after 90 days

Workbox Staffing is looking for ID / OD Grind Machinists to work for a certified manufacturer specializing in precision gears and aerospace components. They are a build-to-print facility supporting prototype and production programs for the aerospace, automotive, and defense industries. Our team prides itself on technical excellence, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities :

• Set up and operate CNC OD / ID grinding equipment with minimal supervision.
• Review routers, set-up sheets, and machining instructions to meet operation specifications.
• Determine and set appropriate tooling, wheel grades, dressing frequencies, and feeds / speeds.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, and other precision tools.
• Maintain documentation for SPC data collection and verify product conformity.
• Assist with tooling and fixturing needs as required.
• Conduct daily maintenance checks to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Maintain production cycle times and adherence to customer quality standards.
