Spartina 449 is seeking an inspiring and engaging Senior Graphic Designer with a stunning portfolio of typography work and art direction. You know how to translate a brand vision into compelling still and motion graphics to build an audience and deepen engagement. You have hands-on experience maximizing creative tools and you're always on the lookout for new design treatments and photography to bring content to life across digital channels.

This role reports to the Creative Director of Marketing. Full-time, NON-REMOTE candidates only.

This position is based in Spartina 449's newly opened workplace in Old Town Bluffton, SC. The open concept office and photo studio are located in a vibrant small-town marketplace surrounded by local shops, restaurants, bars, and even a weekly farmer's market-all just minutes from several charming residential neighborhoods.

WHAT YOU'LL DO :

Work collaboratively with team leads to design omnichannel assets in digital and print. Provide design solutions that solve problems.

Support the creative team with fresh ideas for content creation and design.

Actively participate in design research and brainstorming sessions with the creative and marketing teams and other stakeholders.

Complete assigned projects and tasks according to established timelines and budgets.

Learn - Soak up working in a fast-paced creative team and expand your existing skills into new areas.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

4-5 years experience working as a graphic designer, experience mentoring junior designers a plus

Strong portfolio that demonstrates an eye for composition, color, and typography

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)

Provide art direction for photo and video shoots, including moldboards, shot lists, and on-set creative guidance

Collaborative and communicative

Maintains a positive attitude that contributes to our fun, upbeat working environment

Ability to multitask, meet deadlines with fast turnarounds, and implement last minute feedback

Ideally, you have an interest in the topics Spartina covers : handbags & accessories, apparel, a love of nature, etc.
