Manager, Operating Room (OR) - Surgical Services

The Manager of Operating Room / Surgical Services provides initial oversight and staff scheduling for the pre-operative process, peri-anesthesia, surgical, post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), anesthesia, endoscopy, and sterile processing departments. Assists in the development and evaluation of all nursing personnel, and maintains operational aspects of the patient care unit in collaboration with support services.

Qualifications :
Education / Training / Experience : Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a registered nursing program required. Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a registered nursing program preferred. Three (3) to five (5) years of clinical experience in peri-operative care services as a registered nurse in an acute care facility required. Three (3) to five (5) years acute care nursing management or supervisory experience in peri-operative care services highly preferred.
Certifications / Licenses : Current license as a registered nurse in the state of California. Current basic life support (BLS) or CPR Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Current advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association. Current pediatric advanced life support (PALS) Certification through the American Heart Association or within three (3) months of date of hire. Member or AORN (Association of Peri-Operative Registered Nurses) preferred.
