Position : Support Staff / Lunchroom Supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Supervise students during lunch periods, including serving lines and while eating.
  • Assist students with trays, food access, seating, and dismissal procedures.
  • Circulate among tables to provide assistance and resolve minor issues.
  • Address student behavior according to school and district procedures.
  • Interact positively with students, modeling appropriate communication, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Report injuries, accidents, or illnesses to the appropriate authority.
  • Follow school food safety plans in compliance with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point.
  • Notify custodians of large spills or garbage issues.
  • Collaborate with school staff and food service staff.
  • Supervise students outdoors or in other areas as needed, ensuring safety and appropriate play.
  • Report safety concerns to the appropriate authority.
  • Know and implement school evacuation and emergency procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children in a school setting preferred.

    • Physical Demands

  • Stand approximately 60% of the time, for up to 30 minutes at a stretch.
  • Walk approximately 40% of the time, for up to 30 minutes at a stretch.
  • Navigate various surfaces on the school playground.
  • Work in temperatures as low as 0°F, with exposure to wind, rain, sun, and heat.
  • This position is non-exempt, hourly paid, with hours varying between 11 : 00 am - 1 : 00 pm, Monday through Friday, starting at a date to be determined, at $19.00 / hour.
