• Bond Optics is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Polishing Technician I to support the fabrication of custom glass optics.
• This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to break into precision manufacturing, with full training provided by industry veterans.
• You'll assist with continuous polishing processes, measurement, and machine maintenance all within a fast paced, high-tech environment.
• What You’ll Do Support the operation and cleaning of continuous polishers and metrology tools.
• Assist with the preparation and handling of delicate optical components.
• Perform basic measurements using interferometers and interpret results with guidance.
• Follow documented procedures to ensure part quality and consistency.
• Inspect for cosmetic defects and dimensional nonconformance.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation for safety and precision.
• Participate in training to grow your skills and support career advancement.

• Preferred Background High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training or hands-on experience in manufacturing is a plus.
• Basic understanding of optical principles or manufacturing processes is helpful but not required.
• Physical Requirements Ability to lift and handle components weighing 15–50 lbs frequently.
• Manual dexterity for handling fragile optics and performing fine motor tasks.
• Adequate vision (corrected if needed) for detailed inspection work.
