Responsibilities

Hours for this role are Monday - Friday, 830a-5p and every other weekend.

Responsible to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the psychosocial services for patients of PrairieCare. The group therapist component of the role provides a range of therapeutic services to patients and their families and seeks to enhance the functioning of patients

Responsibilities and Accountabilities :

  • Provide structured group activities and group therapy
  • This position may work with children, adolescents, and adults or a combination of both, as assigned
  • Contributes to the interdisciplinary team the perspective of their unique training and experience in group dynamics
  • May be asked to meet individually with patients or families as it relates to their role and scope of licensure.

Qualifications

  • This position requires a Master's degree in social work, counseling, or a closely related social science or healthcare field.
  • Current licensure in the State of Minnesota is preferred.
  • Two years of experience in mental health is preferred
  • Available to provide coverage for other team members when absent or as the need arises
  • Ability to smoothly and rapidly shift between dissimilar tasks
  • Skills necessary to communicate well both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to react quickly and calmly as part of a team
  • Ability to make effective clinical and culturally informed decisions
  • Compensation for this role ranges from $24-31 per hour depending on education and experience.
