Position Overview

Zelis Payments Optimization team is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Data Analyst (non-IT). This role will focus on leveraging data-driven insights to support business unit initiatives, perform ad-hoc analysis based on customer / internal requests and summarize / articulate results in a clear concise result. The successful candidate will collaborate closely within and outside the business insights team and contribute to client-level reporting.

What You'll Do

Assist in the preparation of materials and key talking points for internal client meetings, ensuring content is clear, concise, and aligned with business objectives.

Participate professionally in internal client meetings as appropriate, provide relevant input and ensure that business data and insights are effectively communicated to stakeholders.

Work on assigned tasks from internal stake holders regarding data analysis for ad-hoc data pulls and requests. Gather feedback from internal client meetings and provide clear summary aligned with original request.

Assist in the development and maintenance of client-level reporting and dashboards, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of reports to stakeholders.

Support a healthy and inspiring organizational culture.

Assist in other projects and business opportunities as assigned.

What You'll Bring to Zelis

Bachelor's degree preferred plus 1+ years data analysis experience.

Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (Excel, SQL, Power BI, Snowflake).

Experience writing & running SQL queries.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights.

Ability to track and analyze business performance and trends.

Experience with client meetings and client-level reporting.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Collaborative team player with the ability to interact positively with various departments and stakeholders.

Ability to work under tight deadlines, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adjust to changing priorities.

Location and Workplace Flexibility

We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India. We foster a hybrid and remote friendly culture, and all our employee's work locations are based on the needs of the position and determined by the Leadership team. In-office work and activities, if applicable, vary based on the work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies.

Base Salary Range

$49,000.00 - $65,000.00

At Zelis we are committed to providing fair and equitable compensation packages. The base salary range allows us to make an offer that considers multiple individualized factors, including experience, education, qualifications, as well as job-related and industry-related knowledge and skills, etc. Base pay is just one part of our Total Rewards package, which may also include discretionary bonus plans, commissions, or other incentives depending on the role.
