We are seeking an experienced Licensed Land Surveyor to lead our civil and transportation survey projects in the Middlesboro region. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise multiple field crews and office survey technicians to ensure project success.
- Plan daily operations, enforce quality assurance and quality control, and manage project budgets, schedules, and client expectations.
- Coordinate with VDOT and local municipalities on roadway, utility, and civil survey projects.
- Support business growth by contributing to proposals and cultivating client relationships.
- Mentor and coach staff through regular one-on-one sessions, performance reviews, and career development plans.
Required Qualifications
PLS license or eligibility to sit for the exam within six months of hire (exam fees covered by the company).Minimum of 12 years of professional survey experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role.Extensive experience with DOT and municipal survey projects.Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation / OpenRoads and AutoCAD Civil 3D.Strong understanding of federal, state, and local survey regulations.High school diploma or equivalent; bachelors degree in surveying or civil engineering technology preferred.Preferred Qualifications
Expertise in subsurface utility locating and designating.Experience with LiDAR, aerial mapping, or sUAS operations.Compensation and Benefits
