Consumer Marketing Intern

We are currently seeking a Consumer Marketing Intern to join the Central Marketing team this summer. The Central Marketing team supports digital marketing processes for various departments and imprints across HarperCollins US. This is a unique opportunity to learn about book publishing and marketing, and to work with a close-knit, collaborative teamthe perfect role for someone who is detail-oriented, social media-savvy, creative, and an analytical thinker.

Responsibilities

Assists in developing and creating HarperCollins corporate social media content.

Advises team on social media trends, news, and overall platforms.

Communicates performance on social media posts and campaigns.

Provides general team support, including content planning and organization, website collection updates, and more.

Attends seasonal and recurring meetings with the team.

Collaborate on advertising research projects for emerging strategies and technology.

Support digital advertising team with campaign execution, QA, and reporting.

Qualifications

Candidates who are available to work in a full-time capacity in 2026 or 2027 are eligible for this internship; open to rising seniors, recent graduates, master's students, or entry level candidates with up to two years of work experience.

Candidates must be available to work 28 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, from June 8 to August 13, 2026, at our New York City office. This internship is compensated at a rate of $18 per hour.

Ideal candidates are either currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or master's program.

Exceptional written and oral communications skills.

Ability to work independently as well as within a team in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Excellent organizational, attention to detail, and time-management skills.

A positive, can-do attitude, excitement to learn, and an enthusiastic, creative self-starter.

Passion for books, publishing, social media, and marketing.

Comprehensive knowledge of social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Threads.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and social media content creation tools including TikTok, CapCut, and Canva. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Sprout a plus.
