About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : 2 years of Orthopedic experience required

License : Current nursing license required

Certifications : BCLS required, ACLS preferred

Must-Have :

• Minimum of 2 years Orthopedic experience
• Epic experience accepted for first-time travelers

Description :

This position is for an experienced Registered Nurse in Orthopedics.

The unit will accept first-time travelers with Epic experience.

The average patient ratio is expected to be 5-6 patients per nurse, with potential flexing to 7 : 1 in extreme cases.

The nursing staff will be required to float to other medical-surgical units based on census needs.

Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.

The patient population includes orthopedic, neuro spine, med-surg, and post-surgical patients.

This is a fast-paced unit that requires nurses to manage pain effectively for orthopedics and spine patients.

The candidate must be able to work a block schedule.

COVID-19 vaccine is not required, but the flu vaccine is required, with medical or religious exemptions only.

Candidates must be comfortable floating to other units and working in a team-oriented environment.

Strong neuro / spine and orthopedic experience is necessary.

All necessary certifications must be up to date at the time of employment.
