Job Description :
- As Systems Engineer Senior, you will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competencies, maintaining mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security.
- Qualified systems engineers will have a background in IT, computer systems engineering, or systems engineering and analysis.
What you'll do :
Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructureInstall, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software and system management toolsProactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availabilityMonitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixesMaintain security, backup, and redundancy strategiesWrite and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasksParticipate in the design of information and operational support systemsProvide L2 and L3 level supportLiaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolutionCreate Tufin requestsProvide hands-on support for existing environments to include performance of the following related tasks : software installation, upgrades, query writing, configuration, security, system monitoring and tuning, disaster recovery planning, and release deploymentsAutomate and evolve deployment strategies and testing to support a quick turnaround of deploymentsWork closely with Engineering to ensure all relevant KPI’s are implemented within the monitoring frameworkParticipate in all Production Support activities during incidents and outages. Hands-on technical resource capable of resolving technical issues and making recommendations for application performance and capacity improvementsParticipate in capacity planning, tuning systems stability, provisioning, performance, and scaling of the application infrastructureThe desire to resolve issues for a 24x7 environment in a non-impacting yet fast-paced resolve timeCreate and maintain technical support documentationExperience you will need to have :
5+ years of IT experience in a technical application production support role or equivalent in a Linux or Windows environmentWillingness to participate in on-call rotation5+ years of experience with load balancers, routers, packet capture, capturing thread dump and analysisStrong knowledge and experience in certificates, TLS, SSLBS / MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subjectProven working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows and Linux based environments.Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (., IIS, WebLogic, Apache)Experience with virtualization and containerization (., VMware)Experience with monitoring systems like Dynatrace, Splunk, ExtraHopExperience with software deployment methods for applications, patches, and operating systems.Strong scripting skills (., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python)Cloud knowledge and / or experience, preferably in AWSMust have experience with or familiarity with software and security architectures.Experience that would be great to have :
.NET programming experienceLinux and Windows system administration ? ability to manage and troubleshoot Linux systems and services, bash scriptingNetworking : understanding of routing and networking conceptsExperience working in an Agile development environmentCollaboration platforms such as JIRA, Confluence, Wiki, ServiceNow
