Job Description

The Director is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing and managing the operations,

growth, and quality of care within a designated branch or region for group homes, and day programs,

and Home and Community Based Services (HCBS). This role involves strategic planning, team

leadership, program development, regulatory compliance and fostering a supportive environment for

individuals with diverse needs.

This is a full-time position that may require some evening and weekend work, depending on the

needs of the company. This position does require travel within the branch or region to visit program

sites, attend meetings and engage with various parties such as families and the Department of

Developmental Disabilities. Occasional travel outside the region may be necessary for training and

conferences. This position is strictly office and program based with no remote work permitted.

Strategic Planning and Program Development

 Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the quality of services provided in group

homes, day programs, and HCBS.

 Identify opportunities for program expansion and improvement to better meet the needs of

clients.

 Collaborate with senior leadership to align regional strategies with the organization's mission

and vision.

Operational Oversight :

 Provide leadership and direction to ensure effective operations of group homes, day

programs, and HCBS.

 Monitor program performance metrics, assess outcomes, and implement improvements as

needed while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, licensing standards and

industry BEST practices

 Develop and manage the regional budget, monitor financial performance, and identify cost

saving opportunities.

 Respond promptly to crises and unexpected situations within the program, including being at

the program if necessary.

Quality of Care and Member Services

 Maintain a client-centered approach, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and services

to individuals with diverse needs.

 Establish and monitor quality assurance processes, including assessments, care plans, and

progress evaluations.

 Address any concerns related to client care and service delivery promptly and effectively.

Team Leadership and Development

 Recruit, train, and supervise program managers, coordinators, and support staff.

 Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that values diversity and promotes

professional growth.

 Provide coaching and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and performance.

Third-Party Engagement

 Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, families, guardians, and advocacy groups.

 Collaborate with community partners, government agencies, and healthcare providers to

enhance service integration.

 Represent the organization at community partners, government agencies, and healthcare

Communication and Reporting

 Communicate program objectives, policies, and updates to staff, client, and stakeholders.

 Prepare and present reports on program performance, outcomes and challenges to senior

leadership and regulatory bodies.

This position requires an active Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPC). Additionally, candidates must complete a background check through the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZ DPS) as part of the hiring process.
