About The Position

1 year of oncology infusion experience

License : CA RN Licensure

Certifications : BLS (AHA)

Chemo Certification (ONS / ONCC)

Must-Have :

Accessing / Managing Ports

Active Immunotherapy Specific / Non-Specific

Administration of blood & blood products

Administration of chemotherapy

Administration of Interferons

Administration of Interleukins

Antiemetic, Antitumor

Body fluid handling post chemotherapy

Continuous Infusion of chemotherapy

Corticosteroids

Cytotoxic Therapy

Hormonal therapy

Infusion Center

Infusion pump management

Inpatient oncology

Intravenous hydration / multivitamins

IV push administration of chemotherapy

Management / disposal of cytotoxic spills

Monitor chemotherapy

Neupogen

Outpatient oncology

PICC line care

Recognize / communicate abnormal lab values

Recognize / manage side effects

Starting and maintaining IVs

Description :

This position is to assist with expanding hours in the Outpatient Infusion Center.

The position will primarily assist with infusion services for oncology patients.

There will be some non-oncology infusions, including blood transfusions and injections.

The shift is Monday through Friday from 8 : 30 AM to 7 : 00 PM.

No weekends or on-call shifts are required.

Travel experience is required.

Specific charting experience is preferred, particularly with Epic.

Qualified candidates should have previous charge experience and familiarity with patient ratios.
