Company Overview :

A respected and well-established general contractor is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to oversee field operations on complex commercial projects. Known for delivering high-quality work across healthcare, education, civic, and commercial markets, this firm offers a collaborative culture, strong safety standards, and opportunities to work on projects that shape communities across Wisconsin and beyond.

Responsibilities :

Lead and manage daily on-site construction activities from groundbreaking through closeout

Coordinate schedules, subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to ensure efficient project delivery

Enforce compliance with safety regulations, quality control measures, and building codes

Travel to out-of-state or regional project sites for approximately one-third of the year

When not traveling, manage projects closer to home in Wisconsin

Conduct site inspections, oversee punch lists, and drive project closeout processes

Act as a key liaison between project managers, clients, and stakeholders

Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and collaboration on all job sites

Requirements :

Proven experience as a Superintendent on large-scale commercial projects

Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and safety practices

Ability to manage diverse trades and multiple timelines across complex job sites

Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills

Proficiency with construction management software and field documentation

OSHA training / certification strongly preferred
