Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a temporary Analytical Chemist near Stickney, IL.

1 month Project (could be extended to 2 months)

Shift : Monday - Friday 1st shift

Compensation : $40-48 / hr DOE

Project Overview

We are seeking an onsite Analytical Chemist to support a focused, one or two month project validating analytical test methods. The assignment may extend based on project needs.

What you'll do

  • Execute validation / verification of analytical test methods (accuracy, precision, linearity, range, specificity, robustness, as required) per approved protocols.
  • Perform hands-on HPLC analysis using Empower software (system setup, sequence creation, integration, processing, reporting).
  • Interpret chromatograms
  • Trouble shoot when results are OOS
  • Trouble shoot HPLC when malfunctions occur
  • Document work to cGxP / data-integrity expectations; author / execute protocols, raw data packages, and summary reports.
  • Maintain a safe, compliant lab : calibrations, logbooks, housekeeping, and inventory.
  • Generate solvents or standards needed by weighing analytically on balance
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (or closely related scientific field).
  • Must have : recent, hands-on HPLC + Empower experience.
  • Must have : direct experience validating analytical test methods (not just routine testing).
  • Industry background flexible —pharma, biotech, chemicals, food, or related all welcome.
  • Strong documentation skills and familiarity with regulated environments.
  • Know how to work with percentages and maintain clean glassware
  • Experience with a PDA detector, and identifying impurities using a PDA detector
