Job Summary
Responsible for repairs and required preventive maintenance of trailersInspect, trouble shoot, diagnose, and perform maintenance on equipmentInterpret work orders and technical manualsRepair or replace defective parts, components or systemsTest repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulationsRegular attendance is required.This is not an all-inclusive list of job requirements and / or duties and may not contain all mental and physical capabilities necessary to perform the job at all times due to circumstances. Employees are expected, and must be able to perform all such duties and tasks.Inspect, service, and replace trailer parts as needed.Diagnose and repair trailer components such as : doors, floors, and side panels.Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical issues.Fabricate parts from samples, sketches, or verbal instructions.Utilize appropriate resources to determine most effective and efficient method for repair and locate parts.Cutting and grinding as needed.Weld metal parts using MIG welding processes with steel and aluminum.Completion of work orders in a timely manner.Document work completed for billing.Perform quality checks after repairs.Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.Follow all company rules and polices.Provide a great level of attention to detail.Follow all safety rules and quality standards.Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiencyQualifications :
High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED), or any combination of education, which would provide an equivalent backgroundMust be 18 years of ageMust have a minimum of one-year experience and / or completion of trade school; or equivalent combination of education and experienceMust be able to use hand tools and test equipmentMust have own toolsMust possess the ability to keep up with changing technology and updatesPossess mechanical ability and interest of electronics and precision equipmentMust possess the strength and stamina required to work with heavy equipment and work in awkward positionsPhysical activities include : walking, lifting, twisting, turning, climbing a ladder, etc.Possess excellent verbal and written communication and listening skillsShould be self-starting and organizedMust possess a strong work ethic and good problem solving skillsMust be willing to work any shift, including nights and weekends in any weather condition; flexible work scheduleMust be able to lift approximately 70 lbs., or more if required by the essential functions of the jobMust be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of ConductMust be able to interact well with othersMust be able to work independently, or in a team settingMust be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple prioritiesResponds well to questions; Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations / procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlinesMust pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and / or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background checkMust be authorized to work in the United StatesPhysical Demands : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
