Security Officer (Unarmed)
A hospital security officer is a trusted individual who will serve, protect, and care for our patients, visitors and personnel. Security officers will ultimately act as ambassadors of the hospital and provides security services in addition to exceptional customer service.
Job Requirements
Knowledge of / skill / ability to :
- Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional, effective manner
- Possess excellent customer service skills
- Have intermediate computer skills to operate Windows, Excel, Word, cell phones, Access Control Systems, and CCTV systems
- Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently
Licensure / Certification
Department of Public Safety Standard and Training (DPSST) Unarmed Security Officer training required within 30 days of hire.Valid Oregon State driver’s licenseProof of auto insuranceAs a condition of employment and DPSST licensure, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws; must provide high school diploma or GED for the DPSST licensure.Education and / or Experience
Prior security, military, or police experience preferredPhysical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance
Must be able to :
