Busy 8 provider Orthopedic practice that has been in business for 30 years seeking to add a new team player! We are looking for someone who is energetic, compassionate, well organized with the ability to multi function. As client-facing professionals, Medical Receptionists play a key role in representing our practice within the community, therefore, customer service skills is a must.
Position Summary :
- Greets and directs all patients within the practice
- Checking in / out patients
- Collecting co-payments and outstanding balances
- Confirming proper documentation is in the patients charts.
- Verifying and updating patient's demographic and insurance information at each visit
- Scanning patient information into the EHR including insurance cards, picture ids and medical records
- Obtaining patient authorizations for medical records release (HIPAA compliance)
- Scheduling necessary appointments after completion of patients visit.
- Calling and rescheduling patients appointments for cancellations or no shows
- Completing end of day tasks
- Maintaining accurate collections and reporting
- Maintaining office cleanliness
- Comforting patients by anticipating anxieties and effectively answering or referring questions and issues
- Other duties assigned
Education and experience :
Minimum high school diplomaAt least one-year relevant experience and / or training.EMR experience is required, Nextgen Office preferred.Qualifications and requirements :
Strong organizational skillsStrong multi-tasking skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction on given assignments.Able to work collectively with administration and staff.Benefits :
