Human Resources Coordinator - The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center

Join our team in "Doing the Most Good" as a Human Resources Coordinator at our Adult Rehabilitation Center. We're seeking a dedicated HR professional to manage employee relations, training programs, and ensure compliance with organizational policies. This role is crucial in supporting our mission through effective human resources management and employee development.
Pay Rate : $20-24 / hr.
Status : Full Time, Non-Exempt
Key Responsibilities
HR Administration & Records Management
- Maintain comprehensive employee files including medical, personnel, terminated, and applicant records
- Perform ADP data entry for employee records, demographic changes, and benefit enrollments
- Manage accurate payroll records and timesheet processing using HRIS system
- Process and engage in ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accommodation requests
- Administer FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) processes including eligibility determination, documentation, and tracking
- Handle PLOA (Personal Leave of Absence) requests and documentation
- Ensure compliance with all leave policies and maintain confidential records
Employee Relations & Safety
Investigate and document incident reports including injuries, accidents, and grievancesParticipate in Safety Committee meetings and support safety training programsCoordinate employee benefits and assist with registration and claimsAdminister Safe From Harm program including training and complianceTraining & Development
Implement and conduct HR training for management and supervisory staffAssist with employee orientation and onboardingSupport leadership development and policy compliance initiativesAdvise management on personnel matters including recruitment and retentionQualifications
Education & Experience
Associate degree and two years of experience in HR Management or Business Management preferredOffice management and supervision experience preferredKnowledge of workers compensation and OSHA regulations desiredExperience with ADP timekeeping software preferredSkills & Abilities
Strong analytical and communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelAbility to interpret and implement HR policies and proceduresExcellence in problem-solving and organizational skillsStrong attention to detail and confidentialityWhat We Offer
