MTU Maintenance Fort Worth is part of the world's largest independent jet engine MRO company based in Germany, providing aftermarket and OEM-licensed engine maintenance services worldwide. MTU Maintenance is a global network of over 4,000 employees with extensive experience in the MRO market. MTU offers maintenance from targeted hospital visits to complete overhauls on 30+ commercial aero engine and industrial gas turbine lines, and has completed more than 18,000 shop visits for over 1,400 customers worldwide. Within this global network, MTU Maintenance Dallas provides hospital shop and on-site maintenance services.
Position : Test Cell Lead Technician (Late Shift)
Responsibilities
- Conduct engine testing, maintenance, and related tasks within a test cell environment.
- Demonstrate proficiency in facility maintenance, test cell calibration, and other duties as directed by the test cell manager, in and out of the test cell.
- Support scheduling and maintenance of the Test Cell; collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain a high level of performance and integrity; show effective leadership and teamwork skills.
- Prepare and de-prep engines; perform incoming / outgoing engine inspections and preparation for shipping.
- Assist in engine tests as directed by engineering, including fuel sampling and testing.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the test-cell facility; adhere to safety regulations and promote a safety culture.
- Create and maintain priority and repair schedules.
- Certify engines and guide, manage, and delegate tasks to test cell technicians.
- Verify routers are completed correctly.
- Perform duties and responsibilities related to engine work scopes (see below) and adapt to test-cell needs and management discretion.
- Borescope inspections
- Engine prepping and de-prepping
- Removing and installing engine components and QEC
- Incoming and outgoing engine inspections
- Engine preservation and preparation to ship
- Engine preparation for test
- Ability to troubleshoot engines
- Performing engine tests as directed by engineering
- Fuel sampling and testing
Required Skills / Abilities
Comply with FAA, ESAS, and company policies and procedures.Test cell or engine ground run experience is preferred but not required.Familiarity with CFM 56-7B engines is a plus.Ability to work at elevated heights with proper fall protection.Proficient in Microsoft Office and Teams.Able to read and follow OEM manual instructions.Willingness to obtain and participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.Must have or be able to obtain passport for international travel.Must be able to work rotating / flexible shifts.Ability to work in the United States legally (citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under applicable immigration laws).Preferred
High School diploma or GED.Associate or bachelor's degree.A&P or P License.3+ years of relevant work experience in a test cell or maintenance environment.Lead by example and be a positive influence to MTU team.Strong work ethic and positive attitude.Familiarization with Ceres software is a plus.Ability to represent the company professionally with customers.Strong attention to detail and project management skills; time management and ability to work under time pressure in a fast-paced environment.Customer service mentality with a positive, can-do attitude.Benefits
