Job Description & Requirements

Requirements :

Minimum Experience : 2 years (First-time travelers accepted)

Weekend Requirement : Every Other

Floating : Within facility / scope of practice as needed

Certifications Required : BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC

Charting System : Required, Epic

Holiday Policy

If one major holiday falls within the assignment, the traveler must work it.

If two major holidays fall within the assignment, the traveler must work both.

If three major holidays fall within the assignment, the traveler must work two.

IV Therapy / Phlebotomy :

Starting and maintaining IVs

Phlebotomy

Central line care and management

Blood product administration

Respiratory :

CPAP / BiPAP

Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)

Ventilated patients

Neurological :

CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident)

ICP monitoring

Neuro-trauma

Spinal cord injury

Traumatic brain injury

Work Settings :

General Emergency Department (Adult / Pediatric)

Level I or II Trauma Center

STEMI Certified Facility

Stroke Certified Facility

Shock / Trauma :

Gunshot wounds

Traumatic amputation

Pediatrics :

Head injury

Near drowning

Spinal cord injury

Cardiac Monitoring & Emergency Response :

Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

Medications :

IV vasopressors

Procedural sedation administration / monitoring

Other Core Skills :

Orthopedic trauma

Triage

Isolation precautions
